(c) Timesmithing/Day 2007 The entry of transiting Jupiter into Capricorn is likely to be exceptionally helpful in manifesting objects and processes associated with security, status and prestige. (This is not likely to be news to astrologers, but it might be useful to others.) I looked up the chart for the moment of entry at 1:11:20 p.m. on 12/18/07 in the SoCal area, revealing the following general indications: Jupiter closely conjunct the Midheaven in the SoCal area blends the influences of two degrees, one related to a guardian claiming leadership from a group, with dramatic, charismatic expression of confidence that one's plans and ventures will be sustained by others. To accept an opportunity because of assistance from friends and family. To consider oneself qualified. The other is related to the repair of cherished traditions, art and structures: Ability to maintain a delicate existence of beauty in the midst of change. Good stewardship, artisanship, vigilant protection to sustain meaning and beauty throughout the centuries. A Degree of Discipleship. To remain pure, whole and well, undefiled, regardless of circumstances. As this significant planetary ingress (configured with the Vernal Point) occurs every 12 years, it influences leaders to step forth to assist groups in stabilizing and making real their goals. Midpoints to the Vernal Point and Jupiter show the type of leadership likely to manifest. In this case, they are likely to have or be concerned with business success, successful companies, legal matters and issues of social justice, discrimination, handicaps and disabilities. Some may be attorneys, economists or physicians inclined to bring about beneficial reforms. Some may be wealthy women, or may be involved in womens’ groups and ladies’ auxiliaries. Some may be artists, spiritual leaders, or psychologists. (Incidentally, there may be profits and advances connected with gems and jewelry.) They are likely to be privileged statespersons. Though likely to support marriage, some may be open to compromise on the issue of domestic partnerships, which could bring them public favor. Some of them may be interested in astrology. Watch out, though, because there is a midpoint cluster denoting overconfidence regarding “reform connected to benefits”, hoped to be beneficial, but in fact misleading, illusory, poor speculation, and potentially producing financial losses, especially regarding health care. The problem may right itself through potential legal polarization or conflict. (We could bypass that altogether by not allowing privatization.) One cluster involves the president, concerning worries about secrets, need for reform linked to deprived people, discrimination, poverty, and possibly diseases affecting groups, which could be related to stomach or digestive functions, infections, viruses, chemicals or poisons. Leaders may promote workers or soldiers in out of the way places, possibly handling problems connected with pollution of air, water or floods and casualties. Moon rising in Aries at a degree associated with native and traditional peoples remembering useful powers and skills acquired in the past can bring forward patterns of creativity serving the needs of the present. Incidents of recalling ancestral memory may increase. We may be able to call on native peoples of the world to help solve the problems of global warming by hearkening back to a simpler time. Venus in Scorpio in the 8th house ruling Libra on the 7th cusp widely square Neptune in Aquarius in the 11th emphasize relationships, partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, investments and banking which could prove to be expensive or complicated, possibly calling for some sacrifice of time or resources, possibly politically and in the area of group charitable causes motivated by scientific humanism, idealism and compassion. Venus trines Uranus in Pisces in the 12th, boding well for potential health reform and also the thriving of spiritual and healing groups. Venus’ degree is associated with aristocratic, smiling girls and applause. (Julie Andrews and Elizabeth Taylor had the Moon in this degree at birth. Olivia Newton-John's Mars r. is here, and so is Courteney Cox's Neptune r.) This could motivate women in the entertainment industry to be more effective in humanitarian endeavor. A Cancer Mars in the 4th house sesquare Neptune shows concern, even discomfort, about domestic issues, motivated perhaps by a realization that our continued security may depend upon it. There can be realistic results connected to traditions protecting the native land and the families therein. This theme could surface in the areas of farming, real estate, housing, food, mothers and children, and/or domestic violence. The degree symbol of the Sun shows mastery of formative intelligence over substance, sureness of expression, perfection of ability. (Pygmalion's dream becoming true.) A permanent form to one's inner ideals and images. Sun is conjunct Mercury at a degree symbolizing the ability to recall the skills of past generations with reverence. A link makes it possible to traverse from one realm or level to another. Enduring elements in understanding. Gratitude for a safe journey. Safety, pathways to sanctuary and home. Fulfillment of the yearning for belonging. (This works equally well for conservationists or nihilists, don’t you think?) Ceres in Taurus conjunct the 2nd house cusp trine Saturn in Virgo in the 6th may help stabilize and provide for the needs of workers in practical ways. Jobs and profits related to health, nutrition and conservationist echo-nomics may increase. The trine also points to commitments of responsible, organized thinkers about problems that present for solution. Misty Day, C.A.P. |
My own inner guides and teachers have recently told me that since the Jupiter-Capricorn Ingress chart is linked to transiting Pluto as well as my natal Venus, Jupiter and Moon, I am luckier and more likely to be favored by practical people who can help my career and status. Health issues have slowed me down in reaching some of these goals. However, my guides have insistently instructed me, despite my embarrassment, to make a wish list and simply post it here in case some "angels" choose to assist me in fulfilling my wishes. So here it is: A better computer – something as good as or better than a name-brand wireless laptop with a 120-gigabyte hard drive, genuine Vista, and CD/DVD read/write capability. I’ve been looking at the HP Pavilion which can be found for under $500 in some places. A great, trustworthy publisher/distributor for my books. (The second one is almost done.) Yoga lessons. A Vitamix Juicer A vegetable dehydrator. A solar hybrid vehicle or a solar-electric plugin conversion kit for my existing vehicle. A couple of solar extension cords. A solar generator with large storage capacity. A large water distiller that is not too ugly to view. |
A scholarship to the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology with living expenses paid for the entire time of matriculation, or even better, something equivalent in Orange County! (Are they here yet?) An all-expenses paid vacation to England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland with visits to London, the Astrological Lodge, Findhorn, Iona, Trinity College, and Swansea. I miss them, I've had lifetimes there. So, if you would like to contribute, or know how such items and experiences can be acquired, contact me here, and I will ooh. |
(Gulp!) Two completely paid-for fourplexes on a nice hunk of arable land with ornamental vegetable gardens, a bank of sunflowers, a grape arbor, an herb garden, a pond, fountain &or trickle wall, fruit, nut and avocado trees in a pleasant residential neighborhood in Orange County. Off the grid, but connected to it so we can feed energy back into it. A lap pool would also be nice, or a jacuzzi, for the fish in us. The proper, realistic way to obtain substantial grants. Cosmetic surgery (Yup, me too. Wierd, isn't it? I... I am told I might also need surgery to repair my jaw and an artery or vein and a couple of leaky heart valves, so that's on the list as well. |
